The game is lots of fun and its not hard to play at all. You can choose your name/house and you start year one at level one to fifteen, then you kill Voldemort and advance to second year. You can fight creatures in the Forbidden Forest or other players. You challenge proffessors to advance to the next level. You can buy wands, armor, drinks, pets, and broomsticks. You get gold, jems, you can buy a house and even get married.
It's a really cool game, I joined a few hours ago and am enjoying it. Look for me, I'm first-year Ravenclaw Lydia Rabble. I've run into a problem though: I never logged off and saved the game the first time and I'm trying to log back on but it says I'm already online. Anyone know how to fix this?
hey Maria, where do you buy pets? :) can't seem to find them.
Yeah, I was wondering that too, I found the pet shop, but all they want you to do is go through that ivy covered door. Rather frustrating.
Ok, since I have to leave for college shortly and am not fully awake LOL, you guys can message me on MSN or something and ask me any questions about the game and I'll try to help you out.
Yes, does anyone know the answer to Krisme's question? After answering that one, I also have one of my own. When you die while fighting something, and it tells you that you'll be allowed to fight again tomorrow, does it really mean tomorrow in real life, or does it just mean tomorrow in game time?

I think it means tomorrow in game days, read the FAQ if the game ever lets you log back in since I believe that's mentioned.
In other news, I've registered for the game twice and it won't let me back in on either account, even though I know I entered the right username and password. This is beginning to get really annoying!

Yeah, and you can also be reserected by another player for ten jems. And as for buying a pet, you need to go to Hagrid's pets by traveling and using a portkey.

I have two characters on there, Lydia Rabble the Ravenclaw and Hyacinth Goodkind the Hufflepuff. (I made two since I was having trouble logging in with the first one) You can friend both of them.
And thanks to Maria for helping me with my logging-in problems.
Dude, I don't have to travel at all. I just click on the link for Hagrid's Exotic Pets or whatever. It's right there on the page when I log in, along with Forbidden Forest, Dueling Club, and all the other ones that show up.

Both of my characters are doing well, despite the fact that they're both dead at the moment. Both have reached level 3. Ravenclaw Lydia Rabble was able to purchase a scruffy mut from Hagrid's Pet Shop and Hufflepuff Hyacinth Goodkind is only a few forest fights away from reaching level 4.
This game is really fun.
I was just thinking, why don't we start up a Hogwarts Live lj community? We could share news and tips and stuff. Think about it.
In other news, Hyacinth Goodkind has reached level 4 only to be slain by a restless zombie.
